Rage For Games
The history of arcades is an extremely colorful one. Arcades started many decades ago before the digital age with games like pinball machines and foosball. In the late 1970's the first video game arcade games became available with games like Pacman, Tetris, and Pong. Thanks to the popularity of these revolutionary games, more and more advanced games began being released in a whole host of different genres. In the 1980's arcades became the place to hang out and play games with all of your friends and consisted of dozens and sometimes hundreds of games. Their popularity continued into the 1990's but began to wane with the prominence of the personal computer and the internet. Today, arcade games are making a resurgence thanks to the very thing that helped bring them down in the 1990's. Now all of the arcade games of the past and many new and innovative games are available on your computer.
